Our Uniqueness
Cornerstone Bank & Trust, N.A. is a locally
owned community bank with full-service offices in Carrollton, Jerseyville,
and Alton, Illinois. "In this age of mega banks, one thing that
sets us apart is the hometown personal service we provide to our
customers," said Larry Franklin, chief executive officer. "We
know our customers personally and do our best to meet their banking
needs."
Established in 1854, Cornerstone appears to be the oldest active
bank headquartered in Illinois (see
Our History). "We are proud of our bank's long and honorable
history," said Franklin. "Very few companies stay in business
for 150 years."
Our Management Team
Contributing to Cornerstone's success is a very experienced senior
management team, averaging more than 25 years of community banking
experience each. All are local people who were born, raised, and
continue to live, in the counties we serve. They include:
Larry Franklin, chief executive officer
Tony Heitzig, senior vice president and chief operating
officer
Pat Heitzig, senior vice president and senior trust officer

and their strong business backgrounds to the board table,"

decisions and providing overall direction for the bank."

as the 'friendly' bank. Our knowledgeable staff is committed to
meeting customers needs with good products and great service.
Our employees also give back to the community through their civic
involvement."
